.Last Tuesday, July 10th, we were honored to co-host a Luxury Wedding Vernissage with Erica Powell of
Ambiance Luxe Wedding Design and Debbie Grazier of
Riverhouse Catering. The three of us had exciting ventures to announce and felt that it would be great to share our news while reconnecting with our colleagues in the wedding industry: The AP Signature Cakes line, Luxe En Vie & Riverhouse Off- Site Catering. We are so happy that the event came together beautifully and that it was such a success!
Heartfelt thanks to the brilliant Erica Powell and her staff for designing the event and executing it to perfection, even though she was seven months pregnant and expecting her first child! And to the fabulous Debbie Grazier, who designed the exquisite menus and provided all the fine foods and drinks served at the event. We've known Debbie for many years and her attention to detail never ceases to amaze us.

The main purpose of the event was to network with the great professionals in the wedding industry that we often work with, but we're so busy executing our work that sometimes we never get time to talk. We wanted to provide everyone the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and colleagues and meet new ones!
Another very important aspect of the event, for us, was to launch our
AP Signature Wedding Cakes line. This new line of cakes will be available for order online on Friday July 20th. The AP Signature line is a collection of cake designs that have been popular year after year with many different brides; it allows the busy bride to enjoy an Ana Parzych cake without investing the time and expense that goes into a custom design.

The party also allowed us to announce the opening of our
Greenwich office. This new location is a convenient meeting place for many of our brides from the New York City area.

When guests stepped into the carefully designed and impressive 17,000 square foot space they were greeted with a stunning collection of the very best in weddings. The Loading Dock's gallery feel and open layout allowed guests to explore the wonderful displays throughout the rooms.

Many people have seen our wedding cakes in editorials or at events, and we are happy that our cake designs have always gotten such good response, but we usually do not have a chance to show our colleagues how good our cakes taste! We set up a cake bar at the party to show our guests that the hard work, craftsmanship, and close attention to detail we put into creating the outsides of our cakes is applied equally to the insides of our cakes.

We are very proud of the great job our staff did at our cake bar station, creating an upbeat and happy atmosphere while serving our guests and allowing us to mingle.
The main ballroom and the sanctuary featured four wedding design table settings, each with a unique theme, Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. The intricately designed settings were complete with gorgeous floral centerpieces, table settings, custom designed menus by Adrienne Craig from
Admire Design, candles, beautiful chair covers and table linens from
La Tavola and
Cloth Connection, and decorations. To pull the look together even more, each design location was paired with a coordinating dress tastefully chosen by expert Alison Fischer from
The Plumed Serpent Bridal boutique and a carefully selected cake from our AP Signature line that would best express the theme of the design.

The "Earth" display was designed by
Flowers by Danielle. She put together a truly amazing display using beautiful natural elements. The display was complemented by a simple organic dress from The Plumed Serpent and our Nature AP Signature wedding cake.

The "Wind" table was designed by
Diana Gould Ltd.; she created a gorgeous wedding design with a stunning windswept floral centerpiece. The bodice of a beautiful wedding gown from The Plumed Serpent continued the theme of wind beautifully and matched our AP Signature White Peony wedding cake.

The "Fire" table was designed by Erica Powell of
Ambiance Luxe Wedding Design, and represented fire and stone elements and candles. The design was complemented by our Cascade AP Signature wedding cake and a bridal gown from
The Plumed Serpent. Jane Rinaski of
Just For You created the beautiful florals for this table.

The fourth themed display "Water" was designed by
Diane Gaudett; her design featured lush floral arrangements with Swarovski crystal candelabras and elements of blue wave-like textured fabrics. The design was displayed with our white shells wedding cake from the AP Signature line and a flowing wedding dress from The Plumed Serpent.

The four themed wedding designs were not the only eye-catching displays at the event; many amazing professionals shared their talents with us in order to make our event a success. Take a look at these beautiful works of art and unique ideas!

Carolyn Dempsey Design created this beautiful and unique tablescape as well as the Ceremony Design Showcase.

Durga-Kali is an amazing company that sells custom designed bridesmaids dresses that can be shortened and are reversible! These dresses allow a bride to select the color and style of dress they want their bridesmaids to wear on the day of the wedding, while giving the bridesmaid a dress they can shorten and reverse, to create a little black dress. We love this idea and Durga-kali's designs!

Throughout the event, guests were served delicious hors d'oeuvres by
Riverhouse Catering. There were also two "food stations" accompanied by coordinating drinks, the Luxe Cheese bar and the Raw Fish Bar. In addition to the food menus, Riverhouse Catering also presented a Luxe Water Bar by
Ripe. This Luxury water bar provided guests with non-alcoholic drinks. All of the drinks from this station were garnished with fresh seasonal fruit or herbs.

We could not have asked for a more positive and warm atmosphere at the event; we loved seeing all of our guests making new connections and seeing old friends. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves while eating great food and desserts and taking the time to appreciate all of the beautiful designs. We also had a photobooth with social media, kindly provided by the
Photobooth Lounge, it was so much fun to be able to post your images instantly on Facebook!
