Custom Wedding Cake | Brooklawn Contry Club | Fairfield Wedding | CT

Our brides are always excited to plan their custom wedding cake with Ana, but do not always know where to draw inspiration from. Ana suggests to each client, that they bring visuals that represent their wedding style. These visuals may include a swatch or image of a client's bridal gown.

At her consultation with bride, Jill, Ana was inspired by the draped sweetheart neckline of the Jill's wedding dress. Often, details such as flower appliqués or lace patterns inspire a custom wedding design, but the seemingly simple way the fabric of a dress is structured inspired Ana.

Ana sketched a cake design that incorporated the draping of Jill's dress.

Similarly to draping cloth, Ana draped white fondant, tapering the ends together at the front of the five-tiered cake and accenting it with lush handcrafted pink sugar peonies and pressed green fondant leaves.

Congratulations to Jill & Rich

Lovely idea to use the gowns' draping as inspiration. The finished wedding cake looks fantastic!
